of Lions Clubs International Districts 105E & 105EA (soon to join up as District 105CE) on Sunday 30th September 2018

Lions Districts 105EA and most of 105E are, as you know, merging to form a new District – 105CE

The next step in ‘The Way Ahead’ towards forming this new district is for us all to get together and elect a new District Governor Team and to vote for a range of constitutional and finance issues of getting our new district off to a fast start. To this end we are  holding an Extraordinary General Meeting as follows

The Extraordinary General Meeting

On Sunday 30th September between 10am and 4pm as above

(Your club should have already received a Convention Call through your Secretary)

Objectives for the EGM are to:

👉🏻Elect a District Governor to serve for the new District from 1st July 2019

👉🏻Facilitate the creation of a District Governor Team

👉🏻Agree a constitution for the new District from July 2019

👉🏻Agree a budget and subs for the new District from July 2019

👉🏻Agree some projects and action plans for new District 105CE

Additional Aims

👉🏻To launch the new District in harmony, with a spirit of togetherness and optimism for the betterment of all members, clubs and those we serve

👉🏻To meet with each other and learn about what we each do, how we do it and how we can take THE WAY AHEAD together

👉🏻 To work together to create input for key issues that Lions must overcome to better serve our communities

More detail about the EGM

The EGM will be held in the main meeting room at the hotel, starting at 10.00 am and finishing at 4.00 pm. All Lions from the clubs in 105EA and the relevant clubs in 105E are encouraged to attend and will be most welcome as will Cabinet members of both Districts. The room holds 450 so there is plenty of room for all. There will be extensive opportunities for input and discussion about the future with planned participation.

Lunch is being provided at a cost of £11.00 per head and will include Soup, Sandwiches and Chips.

Coffee is being provided as you arrive and at lunchtime

Attendees and partners will have access to the hotel’s Sauna, Swimming pool and Steam Room.

We have agreed a very reasonable overnight stay rate for Saturday Night

– For a Double or Twin Room £80 for Bed and Breakfast

– For a Single Room £70 for Bed and Breakfast

NOTE: We have booked 53 rooms until early September (all that were available!) and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis

For anyone who would like to participate we are offering a 3-course dinner on Saturday night at £27.95 per head including tea or coffee.  There will be a menu to allow you to choose in advance. This will be a great opportunity to network with Lions from 105E and 105EA
