Lions 105EA Weekly News 19th May 2019

From a club near (well possibly) you
Shhh, its a secret… but Chelmsford Lions have secured a certain famous magician to appear at our Magic Night on 29 June. Said conjurer is currently completing a nation-wide tour, so his contract means we are unable to mention him by name, but let’s just say he’s also in the armed forces. We really need to sell a good few tickets to make this night a roaring success. Please contact Lion Andrea Cooper for tickets (a bargain at £15 each including your choice of chip supper). Suitable from age 12 upwards. From 7pm at St John Payne School, Patching Hall Lane Chelmsford CM1 4BS. Tel 07736 438249 or follow the link on our website,

$10,000 each to reach $100,000 for the Amrita Centre Kenya  – Project – schooling for the orphans.  We are planning to build 4 classrooms to give these children an opportunity for an education to enable them to get a job and to break the cycle of poverty. Each of us has an individual target to reach.  My costs for flights, accommodation, mountain guides & equipment have been met by me personally so all funds so far have been towards my target as I am determine to get there!!
The project will by managed via LCIF and PID Manoj Shah who is in Kenya and the Phoenix Club of Nairobi will be overseeing this project so the monies will not just be given to the centre.  Lions will be managing this project from start to finish.
Please consider sponsoring me in this challenge. We are looking to raise a minimum of $10,000 each, however we are a team and in total $100,000
