LIONS FUN DAY (Previously District Fun Day)
Following a successful Lions Fun Day, enjoyed by 216 guests and Lions this year, the small Committee have agreed to change the name of the event to reflect our new boundaries of District 105 CE.
I am pleased to say that bookings are in place for Sunday 1st SEPTEMBER 2019.
Please circulate this advance notice within your Clubs and Zones.
More details to follow in the New Year when final costings are known.

on SUNDAY 20th JANUARY 2019. 12.30 for 1pm. Dress will be, Gents: smart casual. Ladies: Dress to impress
We have been able to maintain the cost to that of last year, at £26.00 per head and the menu choices are:-
Starters.
A.     Homemade Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Soup, served with a warm bread roll and butter.
B.    Ocean Prawns set on a bed of mixed salad leaves topped with a homemade Marie Rose Sauce, served with whole meal bread and butter.
C.    Farmhouse Pate’ served with crunchy toast points and Real Ale and Apple Chutney.
D.    Fan of Melon, drizzled with a Tangy Raspberry Coulis and finished with Fresh Berries.
Main Course.
E.    Slow Roasted Topside Beef served with Yorkshire Puddings and Rich Gravy.
F.     Pan seared Breast of Chicken and Mushroom sauce.
G.    Fillet of Salmon topped with a Herb crumb, served with a Dill sauce and fresh wedge of lemon.
H.    Parsnip,Chestnut, and Sweet Potato bake (V)
Dessert.
I.     Homemade Caramelised Apple Crumble, served hot with custard.
J.   Tangy Lemon and Lime Cheesecake set on a crunchy biscuit based drizzled with sweet lemon Coulis.
K.    Profiteroles, Choux Pastry buns filled with fresh cream, smothered in a warm chocolate sauce.
L.    Fresh fruit medley served with double cream.
M.   Cheese & Biscuits
Fresh Ground Coffee or Tea and After Dinner Mints.
