From Zone Chairman Lion Arthur Bailey

On Sunday 2nd September, members of various Lions Clubs in Norfolk came together to present a family Fun Day in the house and grounds of Mannington Hall in North Norfolk. This event was organised by members of Sheringham & Cromer Lions Club and other clubs in Norfolk, mainly from Zone 3b.
The event was held to raise a hope for £6000.00 to purchase a portable ECG machine for the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital at the N&NUH
The sun shone all day and was extremely warm, perhaps too warm as the support was not as high as we hoped, as the lure of sea and sand may have been higher as this may have been the last such day this year!.
We had various events during the day, including the Cromer & Sheringham Brass band, The Broadland Strummers Ukelele Band, The Foolhardy Circus comedy group, Classic cars (Including an Aston Martin DB11!!)
The event raised a little over £3000.00 on the day, but with various donations from local companies, other Lions Clubs and personal donations, most of the costs were covered, so the income on the day will be used towards the final costs of purchasing the much needed machine for the Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital
Any Club or Lion member who would be willing to assist with a donation towards the final total, please forward to Lion Arthur Bailey, 22 Brownsfield, Roughton, Norwich NR11 8LX.
We would wish to thank aver Lion and Lions Club who supported us on the day or with much appreciated, cash donations.
Hopefully, we will soon be in a position to complete the purchase of the ECG Machine.
