From DG Mandy
Many of you may have downloaded the new app, could I please ask that you do not use it to record membership changes. Please use mylci as per usual untill gdpr issues have been sorted.

Sometime ago I launched an appeal for a surgical bed that would be match founded by LCIF, so we could buy two. We are half way there, so if you have been thinking of donating could you please send donations to District Treasurer Roger, and if your Club has pledged monies could you let Roger know the amount
We all take for granted that our hospitals have the latest equipment, but the beds in
Tuzla Bosnia are over 20years old, I know Lions of EA really don’t want these women to suffer unnecessarily.

On the subject of appeals, can I please ask that if you wish to include Clubs beyond your Zone that you inform me first, so we don’t have to many requests at the same time

Many thanks
DG Mandy

From PDG Lion Derek Maguire – FDI Copenhagen
Application process for FDI in Copenhagen is now open and I attach copy of application form.  Please recommend this to any potential attendees.
Also LCI are asking for Recommendations for Faculty, FDI in Copenhagen, Denmark, January 12-14, 2019  I am sorry this is another tight deadline so please would you be kind enough to bring to the attention of any suitably qualified Lions who may be interested.
The Faculty Development Institute (FDI) for qualified Lions of Constitutional Area IV is scheduled for January 12-14, 2019, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
LCI Leadership Development Division are seeking recommendations for a total of 4 faculty members for this institute (2 for the English-language classrooms and 2 for the German-language classroom).
All recommended Lions must be available from January 10 (arrival) through January 14 (early evening departure), 2019.
A recommendation form is available from PDG lion Derek that provides unique guidelines outlining qualifications required to be a faculty member. This document also allows you the opportunity to provide details of those Lions you wish recommend. Please use one form per candidate.
The proposed faculty team will be reviewed by the Leadership Development Division as well as the Leadership Development Committee. Upon approval, invitations will be extended to the final and approved faculty team. While we sincerely appreciate your recommendations, please understand your submissions do not guarantee that a candidate will be selected to serve on the final faculty team.
Please return your faculty recommendations to me by September 5, 2018 via email
