Lions 105EA Weekly News 19th November 2017

From DG Lion Derek Prior CIO Mentors wanted
You will be aware that there is a need to ensure that we have a pool of mentors across MD105 who are able to guide clubs through the CIO registration process and to meet our registration commitment with the Charity Commission of 20 completed applications per calendar month.
A mentor training session is being organised for January 2018 – Saturday 27th (full day) and Sunday 28th half day and will include:

  • general CIO guidelines
  • opportunity for Q & A sessions
  • in-depth review of all application paperwork
  • overview of the Charity Commission Registration process

The facilities of Marie Curie Centre will be used with nearby St John’s Hotel Solihull being used for overnight accommodation.
Lions to be considered to take on this role should:

  • have good organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • have good communication skills
  • have good IT skills
  • have the time to give to this important role
  • have an understanding of how club finances operate
  • be motivated
  • have the ability to meet deadlines

District Governors will nominate TWO attendees from the priority Districts (including EA) and that expenses could be reimbursed by MD105 in accordance with current rules of audit for accommodation and subsistence for attendees.
