Lions 105EA Weekly News 13th August 2017

Firstly, on behalf of all that went to the Special Olympics in Sheffield a hugh thank you to Lion Simon Smith, he was the lynch pin to so much that so many will never know, the Lions Family program, the wonderful (cheap) accomodation and so much more.

If you have never experienced Special Olympics, all I can say is that you have missed out on an experience that you will never forget.  The athletes are great, they give their all despite personal issues, the volunteers go through every emotion that you can think of, but after have a glow and memories that will take an age to fade.

The Lions and Volunteers made this event happen, here’s to the next one and remember to volunteer if you can, it is a massively rewarding event.
