Convention 2017 : 59 Days to GO!!
Convention is now rapidly approaching. Please, if you haven’t yet booked and intend to attend any part of the Convention, now is the time to do so! As I said last week,
there are a limited number of rooms still available for Friday and/or Saturday night and we will be meeting with the hotel shortly to determine whether to release any back to them. SO PLEASE BOOK NOW AND DON’T BE DISAPPOINTED! No accommodation will be available through the Convention Committee once the rooms have been released.
What are you waiting for? Come and join your fellow Lions and Lionesses in what will be a truly wonderful Convention.

Peace Poster Packs
Will all interested Clubs please let me know how many packs they would like for this year’s Competition.  The theme has been announced as “The Future of Peace”.  As usual, timescales for delivery are unknown, but may be in time for Convention.  The cost has yet to be decided by MD but will no doubt be in the region of £12 per pack.  Any Club looking to introduce the Competition to a local school, youth group or special needs group for the first time is very welcome to contact me for further information.
Please email your order to me as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Thank you.

From Lion Matty Bungard re MD Convention
MD convention looking at various hotels around the MD convention they are booked up The Norbreck Hotel prices are reasonable with breakfast
Staying here means no rushing around driving / Taxi up and down to convention and back
As there is no Host night Friday, the Norbreck are doing a carvery on Friday night for £5
I think we should get an EA table and have this as our Sunday night Meal on Friday night
Then anyone wanting to leave on the Sunday after convention can do so
Booking form is on the MD webpage
