Lions 105EA weekly news 1st January 2017

From District Secretary Lion David Pope
Morning District Secretaries please circulate to clubs within your District,
“Revision to Information in The Lion Magazine relating to Convention 2017
There has been an unfortunate error in the production of the latest issue of The Lion magazine,
The correct details are as follows:
Friday 21st April 2017- As so many Districts have organised their own events for that evening, no Host Night has been arranged and no food will be provided on that evening other than to residents of The Norbreck under the terms of their booking with the hotel. However, the Norbreck Hotel is providing evening entertainment, by way of Bingo and a local entertainer, free of charge that evening to both residents and non residents.
Saturday 22nd April 2017- The Banquet and Ball will be a served banquet at The Norbreck Hotel, in the presence of the International President. There will be entertainment from DJ Scottie, and a musical tribute to 100 years of Lions Clubs from local young people.”

From Sheringham and Cromer Lions Club
I recently retired from spending approx 40 plus years driving coaches, and a few weeks ago, I gave a talk for our members and the public all about my life travelling the roads around the UK, Ireland and Europe.
My talk was well recieved and made a total of over £100 for our club.
I would be willing to repeat this for any other club that would wish, in exchange for a donation to the Sheringham & Cromer Lions Club.
I have so many funny and not so funny true stories I can tell.
I hope this will be of interest to others as a fundraising evening
Wishing all club members a very happy New year.

President Sheringham & Cromer Lions Club
