This is the last call for items for Clacton on Sea’s Made By Hand stall at Clacton’s classic car show on Sunday 20th May. Anything that has been made, assembled or grown by hand is very welcome. We are doing this in memory of Loin Colin McLean who passed to higher service earlier this year and all profits are going to the LCIF measles appeal. Date for your diary. Lion Lyn and Andy will be hosting their 7th Bar-B-Q and Boules day on Sunday 10th June, 12-4pm. Lion David Woodruff was champion three times and in his honour a trophy shall be given to the winner of the Boules, The David Woodruff Memorial Trophy. Names are placed in a hat and playoffs take place with best of three games, best of five in the final. No teams needed. £5.00 per head includes all food and drink, wine, beer, pimms or soft drinks. Bar-b-q meats with salad bar, dips and bread. Vegetarian and gluten free catered for. Yummy deserts. There will also be a raffle with Andy as first prize! Only kidding! He’s the chef. Please come and enjoy the day which is always such fun. No expenses are deducted so all money raised will be given to a good cause. On behalf of Lion President PDG Tony Prior and the members of Leigh-on-Sea Club, I cordially invite you to join us in celebrating our 27th Charter celebrations to be held on Saturday 19th May, 2018 at Saxon Hall, Aviation Way, Southend-on-Sea. SS2 6UN.
The evening will follow the traditional format with Reception at 6.30pm for 7.00pm, and following the meal and general formalities (which will be kept to a minimum) we shall be dancing to the Duo ‘Back2Bizniz’’. Carriages should be arranged for 11.45pm. The Menu for this year is:
