Lions 105EA Weekly News 1st April2018

From DGElect Mandy,
Firstly I would like to thank you for voting for me to be your District Governor for the coming Lionistic year. I hope with your help to make it a year of service and fun.
Secondly as I start to put a Cabinet together I am in need of a Sight/LEHP officer, a Young Ambassodor Officer, and a Zone Chair for 5a (Basildon,Billericay,Brentwood,Harlow,Romford and Thurrock). These are vacant as the current officers do not wish to carry on for various reasons. If you are interested in taking on any of these positions please contact me on vdg@lions105ea.com.

FROM GMT
On behalf of the District Membership Team, I would like to Thank all Clubs and Individuals who helped to push our membership to 1270. We must all now continue to work and grow our District, use the momentum and drive the Membership numbers up.
We cannot afford to be complacent and sit back resting on our laurels, we all know what happens if we do.
The end of year (30th June) there are very often many members who do not renew their membership, if you know of valuable Lions that are thinking of leaving, please contact our District Retention Officer PDG Kevin Rodgers on gmtr@lions105ea.com He will be more than happy to help ( and he is very good at his job! )
Once Again Many Thanks to You All!
Regards
PDG Paul Martin MJF

Convention 2018 …… Food Bank Collection

As those of you who were at the 105ea Convention in Norwich will know we had a collection for the Norwich food-Bank.   West Norwich Lions organised the delivery of this on Monday  and when it was weighed in,  it came to a truly fantastic 394.7kg (that’s more than a 1/3 of a tonne).
So many thanks and congratulations to everyone who got involved with this.
Martin Langdon, Convention Coordinator
