Lions 105EA Weekly News 11th February 2018

From Centennial Officer – Chris Hibbert
Food-bank at Convention
As part of our Lion Centenary celebration one of our challenges is to “Feed The 5000”. As part of this challenge we are asking all Lions, Lionesses and Leos attending convention to bring non-perishable food and personal items to convention. At the end of the weekend all donations will be donated to the Norwich Food-bank.

From Region 6 Zone B Chairman – Bonnie Wade

A reminder of Region 6 Zone b Zone Meeting at Mulbarton Village Hall NR14 8AE at 8.00.   All welcome.   Please bring reports of recent club activities.   It would be helpful for Minute taking to also have these emailed direct.
Thanks, Bonnie

From City of Norwich Lions Club
Does any Lions Club in the Norwich Area have a fundraising project involving a long distance run undertaken on 10th March?    Two collecting boxes relating to such a project have been placed in a barber’s shop in Norwich, but there is confusion as to which Club the boxes belong.  A canvass of 8 or 9 clubs produced negative results.
At the moment there seems to be no problem as the business owner is happy for the boxes to stay there for another week, but I’d like some reassurance that all is well.
The collection receptacles are yellow and each bears a label : ‘Help Lions ‘Help others’.
Please contact John Jones, City of Norwich Lions Club if you have information relating to the above.
