Lions 105EA Weekly News 10th December 2017

From District Governor
CIO Mentors wanted – still!
You will be aware that there is a need to ensure that we have a pool of mentors across MD105 who are able to guide clubs through the CIO registration process and to meet our registration commitment with the Charity Commission of 20 completed applications per calendar month.
A mentor training session is being organised for January 2018 – Saturday 27th (full day) and Sunday 28th half day and will include:
general CIO guidelinesopportunity for Q & A sessions
in-depth review of all application paperwork
overview of the Charity Commission Registration process
The facilities of Marie Curie Centre will be used with nearby St John’s Hotel Solihull being used for overnight accommodation.
Lions to be considered to take on this role should:
have good organisational skills with an eye for detailhave good communication skillshave good IT skillshave the time to give to this important rolehave an understanding of how club finances operatebe motivated have the ability to meet deadlines
District Governors will nominate TWO attendees from the priority Districts (including EA) and that expenses could be reimbursed by MD105 in accordance with current rules of audit for accommodation and subsistence for attendees.
Deadline for applications is 15th December!
If we don’t have enough Mentors, the rate we can handle applications will obviously be slower, so please consider helping your club and others by applying.
If you are interested, please contact the District Governor dg@lions105ea.com
